COLORADO 81611 13031925-2710 November 5, 1976 Mr. Hal Clark City Planner City Hall Aspen, Colorado 81611 Re: Smith/Kitzbuhel Lodge 300 vJ# ffi-;,.,,1.vSr. Dear Hal: Please find attached sketch plans for the Kitzbuhel Lodge apartments as it now exists and the proposed revisions. As far as I can determine the Kitzbuhel Lodge is located in a R-6 zone and is a legal non-conforming use. The complex consists of two buildings which contains four two-bedroom units, two one-bedroom units and six studios. Wes and Pam Smith, who just purchased the building, intend to lease the units to local residents on a long term basis. The Smiths desire to make the following modifications in the building: 1. Installation of kitchenette facilities in the six studio units (see enclosed sketch plans). 2. Erection of a new deck and stairway to service the second floor (this is proposed Spring construction). The most important problem which faces the Smiths now ~s to put the kitchenettes in the studios as soon as possible so as to make them appropriate for the long term rental prior to the winter season. I would appreciate your recommendations as to what procedures the Smiths must follow to obtain the Mr. Hal Clark Page Two November 5, 1976 requisite governmental approval for installation of the kitchenettes and the new stairways.
