HARRY TEAGUE ARCHITECTS 412 NORTH MILL STREET, ASPEN, CO 81611 (303) 925-2556 FAX (303) 925-7981 TO: THE HISTORIC STREAMLINE PRESERVATION BOARD SUBCOMMITTEE ROXANNE, BILL POSS, JOE KRABACHER FROM: BRAD ZEIGEL DATE: AUGUST 19, 1992 RE: STEUBEN GLASS RETAIL STORE ASPEN, PROJECT #9212. TELECOM WITH ROXANNE AT H.P.C. ON 8/14/92 - - - - - - I - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - I - - - - I - - - - Steuben Glass Retail Store Aspen f Address: Elle Building 101 S. Mill Street (South/East Corner Unit) Classification: A Historic Landmark "Minor Development" Exemption: If the proposal does not alter the character. Action: Roxanne to contact Bill Poss and Joe Krabacher of the H.P.C. Streamline Subcommittee to review the drawings and photos while she is on vacation (returning on 8/24/92). If the Streamline Subcommittee of H.P.C. is uncomfortable with the prgposed mullion changes, then the project will go through a Minor review of H.P.C. This meeting on 8/26/92 is with the entire board. This submission will cost $100.00 Description of the Proposal: The facades fenestration will be unchanged. The color (white), size of the window opening, size of the muttins and mullions will remain unchanged.. (Refer to facade drawings). , The change is in altering the division of the windows by the muttins. 7kks 1 i w<. 4 es-4.b U S ked 41 -+U ejli g~~la 00 V- 11~*ns 0141 St.4.- t AthW 8,ve.4 i .~ 49 21_1214 1 LA The reasoning is that there will be display cases centered on all 3 of the east facing windows. We feel that as this unit is isolated from the main ~ . body of the building, this change will seem quite intentional and within the character of the building.
