Minutes - March 28. 2006 Jasmine Tygre opened the special meeting of the Aspen Planning Commission in Sister Cities Meeting Room at 4:30pm. Members present were Mary Liz Wilson, Dylan Johns, Steve Skadron, Ruth Kruger and Jasmine Tygre. Staffin attendance were James Lindt, Community Development; Jackie Lothian, Deputy City Clerk. COMMENTS Kruger said that it would behoove the Planning & Zoning Commission to site visit some affordable housing. James Lindt said that staff would arrange to have that site visit. Ruth Kruger voiced concern over the council meeting tonight that was important and this meeting tonight was supposed to be for that purpose of a work session with council. Jasmine Tygre understood Ruth's concern and agreed. Mary Liz Wilson agreed with Jasmine and Ruth. John Worcester said that City Council was discussing 2 Ordinances; a series of amendments and a moratorium. Worcester said that the chair of Council would be happy to entertain comments from P&Z tonight. Tygre said that it seemed insulting to P&Z and short sighted to not have P&Z included in these land use discussions with City Council. MINUTES MOTION: Steve Skadron moved to approve the minutes from February 7/h and February 21'/; seconded by Ruth Kruger. APPROVED 3-0 (2 abstained). DECLARATION OF CONFLICTS OF INTEREST Ruth Kruger recused herself from the Long Family Rezoning. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC HEARING (03/21/06): LONG FAMILY 802 WEST MAIN STREET REZONING Jasmine Tygre opened the continued public hearing for the Long Family Rezoning. MOTION: Ruth Kruger moved to continue the public hearing on the Long Family Rezoning to April 18/h; seconded by Mary Liz Wilson. Approved 3-2. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING (03/21/06): HANNAH DUSTIN MIXED USE ADDITION Jasmine Tygre opened the continued public hearing for the Hannah Dustin. MOTION: Mary Liz Wilson moved to continue the Hannah Dustin Mixed Use to April4/h; seconded by Ruth Kruger. All infavor, Approved. Meeting adjourne at 4:50 pm. . . ~ ckie Lothian, eputy City Clerk I
