Continued Meeting
Aspen Planning & Zoning
July 19, 1973
Meeting was, called to order by Vice Chairman Bruce Gillis at 5: 15 p.m. with
Barbara Lewis, Charles Vidal, Bryan Johnson, and Jack Jenkins. Also presc'lt
City/County Planner Herb Bartel and Assistant Planner Donna Baer.
Stream Margin
Request -
Jack Miller
Vice Chairman Gillis stated that the Commission
members had taken a field trip to the site of
the project. Expressed the regret of the Com-
missioL, but felt they must approve Miller's
stream margin request.
Miller stated that he felt the building would
be a credit to the area, and he would be willing
to participate in street widening when and if it
became necessary.
The conditions for the approval were: (1) that
the building would be set back a minimum of 25'
from the bank; (2) no foliage would be removed.
At this time, Remo Lavagnino, area resident who
had opposed the stream margin request, expressed
his thanks to the Commission for their consider-
ation on the matter.
Commission agreed to hold a public hearing on
the rezoning of the Oklahoma Flats area to R-15.
Stream Margin
Request -
Bay Street
Estates
Commission agreed t~ based on observations from
their field trip to the site of the project:
(1) there would be no damage to the stream;
(2) building would be set back 30' from the
high water mark.
Herb Bartel reported that the building would
not be located in the flood plain area.
Bryan Johnson moved to approve the
request, seconded by Jack Jenkins.

Discussion followed on the process the Commission
wished to follow for Ordinance #19. Commission
agreed to adjourn into study session.
Barbara Lewis moved to adjourn the meeting, secon-
ded by Jenkins. All in favor, motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
