Special Meeting
Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission
June 5 ,1971
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Robin Molny at 12:00 p.m., Red Onion
with James Breasted, Francis Whitaker and Chuck Vidal.
Highway 82
Proposa Is
Chairman Molny reviewed previous authorization from Council
to Planning and Zoning Commission to expend budget funds
to obtain scope of work proposals relative to Highway 82.
Letter and proposal from Mr. Melcher were submitted by
Chairman Molny outlining two options. Option A in the
amount of $750.00 and option B in the amount of $3,250.00.
Proposal mainly based on reviewing work completed by the
State Highway Department and submission of a report to the
Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Molny pointed out Mr.
Melcher was on the State Highway Commission but was not
re-appointed by Governor Love, and so Mr, Melcher is
familiar with the State Highway proposals.
Councilman Tam Scott arrived.
Whitaker made a motion the Planning and Zoning Commission
recommend to the City Council authorization be given to the
Planning and Zoning Commission to enter into a contract
with Albert G. Melcher to evaluate and report on the State
Highway's report on Highway 82; contract not to exceed
$750.00; proposal to be submitted to the Planning and Zoning
Commission and to the Council by 12:00 p.m. June 16th, 1970
and Planning and Zoning and Council review prior to the
public hearing already scheduled for the 16th of June.
Seconded by Breasted. Roll call vote - Vidal aye; Whitaker
aye; Breasted aye' Molny aye.
Golf Course
Property
Golf Course Property - Commission agreed to have the Chair-
man prepare a resolution relating to the Planning and
Zoning's feelings, that the property should be purchased
and if this is not possible zoning considerations should be
given to provide for cluster or planned unit development
in this area.
Whitaker moved to adjourn at 1:10 p.m., seconded by
Breasted. All in favor, meeting adjourned.
