Planner
Planner - Chairman Heneghan reported that at the study
session held last week by the Commission, it was agreed
that the Commission should do everything possible to
obtain a planner.
Commission agreed to send a letter to the City Council
and appear before the Council at their next meeting.
Discussed the reasons for the necessity of a planner to
be inserted in the letter to Council: Commission is
not aware of all the pitfalls of their ideas, need some-
one to give strength to the Commission, need guidance,
need someone other than appointed laymen, someone who
is trained in planning.
Clasen made a motion that the Commission draft a letter
to the City Council outlining the Commission's thoughts
on the hiring immediately of a planner to work in this
capacity with this Commission and guide the Commission in
policy making decisiobs. Seconded by Whitaker. Roll call
vote - Clasen aye; Molny aye; Whitaker aye; Heneghan aye.
Re-zoning Request
Re-zoning request - Commission instructed the Secretary
to send a letter to the firm of Oates and Austin informing
them of the requirements under Section 11-1-13 (3).
Molny moved to adjourn at 5:45 p.m., seconded by Clasen.
