TOWNSITE, BE CLOSED TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best nter- est of the City of Aspen, in particular the residents and th~ owners of property on Hallam Street and Francis Street in th~ 900 block, that a portion of the alleyway between Hallam and Fra] ~is Streets, more particularly described as the westerly 100 feetlof the alley of Block 4, Original Aspen Townsite, be closed to v+hi- cular traffic. NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed t~ take such action as he deems necessary and appropriate to clos, the westerly portion of the alleyway between Hallam Street and Francis Street in the 900 block more particularly described as The westerly 100 feet of the alley of Block 4, Original A pen Townsite, to vehicular traffic. Additionally, the aforesaid portion of alley shall remain closed to vehicular traffic unless the City Council, by resolution, directs otherwise. Section 2 If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
