Aspen Planning & Zoning
December 13, 1966
Meeting was called to order at 8:15 p.m. with the following roll call:
Chairman Whitaker - present
Thomas Benton - present
Mayor Robert Barnard - present
Sam Lum - present
Jack Walls - (unexcused)
Councilman William McEachern (excused)
Tom Benton moved to approve the minutes of November 7th. Seconded by
Mayor Barnard. All in favor, motion carried.
BUILDING REVIEW
None
RESOLUTION
The folloWfig Resolution was read by Chairman Whitaker:

WHEREAS, King Woodward, long time member of the City of Aspen,
Colorado Planning and Zoning Commission:
AND, WHEREAS, the said King Woodward of said City of Aspen
has desired to move out of the boundaries of said City of Aspen;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Aspen
Planning and Zoning Commission would like to extend their apprecia-
tion to King Woodward and hereby commends him for his long and out-
standing service to the Commission and community.

Tom Benton moved to approve the foregoing Resolution. Seconded by
Mayor Barnard. Roll call vote - Chairman Whitaker aye; Tom Benton aye;
Mayor Barnard aye; Sam Lum aye. Motion carried.
Commission instructed the Secretary to mail the Resolution to King
Woodward.

Regular Meeting, P & Z, Dec. 13, 1966, continued.
HANS GRAMIGER
Chairman Whitaker stated he felt Mr. Gramiger should not take up time
in a business meeting as he had already presented his project to the
City Council, the Commission was familiar with the project. Mr.
Gramiger would have to apply for rezoning, then come to the Planning
and Zoning with his case.
DECEMBER 27TH MEE~ING
D~e to the holidays Mr. Whitaker suggested the next regular meeting
be held December 20th.
Tom Benton moved to hold the next regular Planning and Zonirg meeting
December 20th at 8:00 p.m. Seconded by Mayor Barnard. All in favor,
motion carried.
Telephone call from San Antonio, Texas received by the recording
secretary from Mr. Tony Berumen was read by Mr. Whitaker relating
to signing the subdivision plat for Sunny Park and Sunny Park North
Subdivision and requesting a certificate of acceptance from the
Commission on the subdivision.
Chairman Whitaker stated the Commission had acted on the subdivision
plat within the 30 day limit after an opinion had been received
from the City Attorney that the plat submitted was a subdivision.
When Mr. Berumen submitted the plats, he did not call this a sub-
division but a replat.
City Attorney stated part of the delay was caused by Mr. Berumen.
Tom Benton stated Mr. Berumen at the last meeting agreed to file a
final plat. Mr. Benton suggested the Commission write a letter to
Mr. Berumen reminding him that his preliminary plat was acted upon
with the recommendation that the final plat be submitted showing
all utilities and he should proceed along these lines.
Tom Benton made a motion to approve such a letter be written to
Mr. Berumen. Seconded by Mayor Barnard. All in favor, motion carried.
Secretary to write letter to Mr. Berumen.
Letter from Edward Morse was received and read by Chairm.an Whitaker.
Secretary instructed to write Mr. Reid informing him of the meeting
dates for the Planning and Zoning.
Letter of resignation from King Woodward was read by Chairman Whitaker.
Letter from City Council granting their approval of procedure for
absentee members, was read by Chairman Whitaker.

Regular Meeting, P & Z, Dec. 13, 1966, continued.
Letter from the Aspen Valley Improvement Assoc:ia tion was submitted
to the Commission.
Mayor Barnard suggested the Commission change their meeting date and
time so Councilman McEachern would be able to attend.
Mayor Barnard made a motion to reschedule Planning and Zoning meetings
to the Second and Fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m. begin-
ning of the year 1967. Seconded by Tom Benton. All in favor, motion
carried.
Mayor Barnard moved to adjourn at 8:37 p.m., seconded by Sam Lum.
All in favor, meeting adjourned.
