REGULAR MEETING OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION CITY OF ASPEN May 10, 1966 Meeting was called to order au 8:15 P.M. Present were; Francis Whitaker, King Woodwqrd, Bill McEachern Tom Benton. Building Review: Wintershop of Wolf Beyer South 34- of Lots A & B Block 89 A motion was made by Benton to approve the drawings Seconded by Woodward. Motion carried. A Committee of .King Woodward and Francis Whitaker was formed to study the small lot clause of the Zoning Ordinance. A map of the South annexation street plan was presented. A Committee consisting of Tom Benton and Francis wnrtaker was formed to work out a proposal on the street plan. A discussion of the public hearing on the Master Plan held by the City Council of May 9, 1966. A long discussion of the densities as proposed by the Citizens Density Committee. A motion by Benton that the density proposal by the Citizens Density Committee be noted in a letter to the City Council in the form of an addendum to the Density Section of the Aspen Area General Plan, including both figures as recommended by the plan and by the Citizens Committee in the following types of dwellings: Type Building Sq. Ft. Lot Area/D.D. Single Family Duplex Patio, Row House Multi-Family Boarding and Rooming Accomodation 6,000 3,000 2,000 to l5,00ti: 1,500 to 750* 500 to 250* 750 to 375* *Added ftgures A proposal by Lloyd Pellitier for a plan to durn downtown area into a landscaped pedestrian shopping area. A motion by Woodward that the plan be accepted by the Commission for further study as a down town improvement plan. Seconded by Whitaker. Motion carried. 1;Ieeting adjourned at 955 P.M.
