ASPEN PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING
JANUARY 26, 1965
CITY HALL, ASPEN, COLORADO
Present were: Woodward, Whitaker, Walls, Lai, Thurston
Heeting was called to order at 7:30 P.H. by Chairman Jack Walls.
Report on Building Height was referred back to connnittee with reconunendation
for provisions for steeper sites. Report on Set Backs for High Rise Buildings
discussed and refferred back to connnittee.

Building RevieWI Coachlight Addition. Action ll1IeIiei'llEJd pending rearrange-
ment of parking.
Chatelet Condominium plans discussed. Recommerrlation to Building Inspectorl
1. Inadequate parking
2. No elevations.
Review of canopy on Molly Gibson dba AIGoGo; It was moved by Whitaker;
seconded by Lai that Planning and Zoning reconunend to Council, disapproval
of the canopy. Reasons - serves no particular public purpose and has adver-
tising signs on it. Motion Carried.
It was Moved by Lai, seconded by Whitaker, taht City Council investigate the
post erected on City Property to support the overhang on the Golden Horn.
Motion carried.
Vacation of Dean Avenue. Moved by Lai that Planning and Zoning recommend to
Ci ty Council that only that portion of Dean be vacated which is required to
clear Title to Ken Moore1s structure-including overhangs and setbacks, and
reservations for utility easements, in order to fulfill a previous obligation 1l>
Hr. Moore. Motion seconded by Whitaker. }lotion Carried.
Walls reported on progress of Planning Consultant Cantract. Contract has
been mailed to Daly, and will be returned to State Planning Office. The
Three 0) Aspen Agencies will also contract with State Planning Office. Daly
may be here in February.
Huebinger Variance discussed. Building Inspector informed Planning and Zoning
that there is no public access to the property. It was moved by Whitaker that
Planning and Zoning reconunerrl that no building permit be issued, due to no
public access, and therefor the City cannot furnish police and fire protection
or water service. Seconded by Woodward. Recommend that adequate parking and
access to property be shown on Plot Plan. Motion carried.
Requested that the entier matter of roads, rights- of-way and utilities be
brought up at the next joint City and County meeting.
Subdivision Regulations. letter from Sanitary Board read, and their reconunen-
dations were incorporated in Section 4-(a) of Subdivision Regulations.
JlOved by Woodward that the Subdivision Regulations be approved in final draft
form, and that a public hearing be set, seconded by Lai. Motion Carried.
