SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF ASPEN AND PITKIN COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSIONS SEPTEMBER 9, 'F)64 ASPEN CITY HAU. The meeting was called to order at 4:30 P.M. Present were: Jack Walls, Chairman, Edgar Stanton, Sam Caudill, Fritz Benedict, Richard Lai, Andrea Lawrence and Mr. Davis Holder, City Engineer. A discussion was started regarding the sub-division regulations proposed by Mr. Holder, City Engineer, and comments were made by the County Planning Commission regarding their desires and what they need and what should be changed to suit the particular needs in the County. 1. It was discussed that the County regulations should conform to the City regulations wi thin a legally described area. This area would include most of the flat area of land outside the City boundaries and extending down the valley. Such a legal description will be forthcoming at a later date. 2. The County desires the scale of the plats, preliminary and final, to be 200' to the one inch. 3. The County raised the question regarding private roads. They felt that such private roads should be allowed in sub-divisions. The City Com- mission members and the City Engineer felt that such private roads should not be allowed. It was generally felt that further thought might be necessary in regard to this. 4. The cost incurred for the work done by Mr. Holder on drawing up the sub- division regulations for both City and County should be divided equally between the City and the County. The County Commission members felt that this was more than right and agreed to same. Mr. Holder is now to work up a final draft of both City and County sub-division regulations and submit copies to both the City and County Planning and Zoning Commissions for final legal check.
