OF THE CITY OF ASPEH
The Annexation CClIlIIIittee meoting on this date met at 1130 P.M. in Fritz
Benedicts ortice. The members of this cClllllld.ttes are Fred Gl1ddon, Leon
Wurl, and John DorelllUs. The cCllllllllttea heard Benedict e:xpla1D the idea
tor development or a tract of land East of town, known ss the Old D1xon
Ranch and a propoll8l for annexation or part of this ranch including the
Hea" Entry property. Benedict hed several mapa shOWingl a)Lend Use
Study, b) the IIIllX1mum development ot the property llIlder the present BOD-
ing, 0) an overlny or the zoning present~ existing in the aroa.
Denadict's idea is gsnera~ to heve a residential development using the
clustered lots concept, retaining large grsen areas within this proposed
development. At the same time, along Highway 82, he caat_plated certain
Halted tourist llIld business uses, which presenUT would not be permitted.
The area he proposed to annex at the present time is comprisecl of approxi-
IlII1te~ 50 acres.
There was a general d1Bcuse1on regarding this question by the IllllIlIbars of
the cCllllldttee, and several of the poinh mentioned werel at least until
the area was developed, the city could not pOBsibl7 serve thlll area with

matters 1
1. Benediot 111 to get an intarpretstioMof the Ar.nexat1on
Law, especially ss regards the terIIl resldent.
2. Doremus i8 to get a break-down of the l'1ro in/lU1'anca
rates for the area in general.
3. Benediot 18 to actua1~ Dot forth and presont a plan
for rezoning of this area.
4. Wur1 1s to project the cost d1ffCtlpnCll.as'J.l'egard.

in thh area es compared to beillg in the cityl1m1ts.
