M., in the City Council chambers, the Advisory Caamittee met with the City Council and tl:-.e Planning Couriaisdon. Present were Gene Robison, Fred Glidden, Mike Garrbh, Clint Stewart, Bob Roy, Hod Nicholson, Nate Fe1ndnger, Don Randall, Edgar Stanton and Henry Stein. 'lbe meeting opened with a request for a letter of author- ity from the City Council and the Planning Ccam1ss1on. This letter would outline the duties and responsibilities of the Advisory Coamittee. The Advisory Committee offered such a letter for approval. The letter stated that this en-f ttee' s function was to investipse and analyze facts and report the result8 to the Planning Commission of such projects A' may be assigned to them by the Coam1saion. The letter wu approved. The Advisory Coamittee was assigned to work on the water problem. The Advisory Committee recommended a feasibility roport, and was directed to check the costs from those firms recOlllll18nded by the Colorado Stat. Board of Health. '" ,,,, - - JOINT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the counsel for the city of Aspen has heretofore established a Planning Commission and appointed members thereof according to law, whose duties are to study long range planning for the city of Aspen, WHEREAS, many members of the Planning Commission do not have ample time to carry out these duties and that the public interest can best be served by en- gaging the servides of a group of interested citizens to assist the planning commission to carry out its duties, and WHEREAS, a group of citizens have been contacted and are ready, willing and able to assist the planning commission as they may be instructed and authorized, NOli THEREFOR!!: BE IT RESOLVED, that the following named persons are hereby appointQd as an advisory committee to the Aspen Planning commission: Nate Feinsinger Don Randall Edgar Stanton Henry Stein BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the duties of the Advisory Committee shall be confined to the investigation and analysis of facts as may be requested by the Planning Commission and to promptly report to the Planning Commission at regular and special meetings, and to diligently pursue the instructions of the pl~ng commission shall at all times be informed of the facts nedessary for it to carry out its duties and obligations as prescribed by the ordinances of the city of Aspen and the laws of the State of COlorado.
