.. February 27, 1975 Ms. Sandy Steller City Attorney P.O. Box V Aspen, Colorado 81611 Dear Sandy, Thank you for your letter of February 26 regarding the Aspen Arcade Building. I would like to bring your attention to a couple of items in that letter. The Aspen Arcade project was not subject to Ordinance 19 and did not ao through those processes. We did apply for a building permit, but did not take it out because we did not have our financing lined up in time to start construction during the 1974 construction season. I was not satisfied with the number of parking spaces I was asked to purchase, so I decided to leave the drawings in the Building Department until spring. The owners of the building volunteered to have the project reviewed before the Historic Preservation Conmittee. They approved the project without recomnendation for improvement. I would not object to complying with Section 24-9.10 of the Aspen Municipal Code, and I will discuss this matter with the Building Inspector. Sincerely, /704 9 11-u.AL{.up-- Dot·MJJ.
