Q Series of 2008 WHEREAS, John Rowland has skillfully and faithfully served as a City of Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission member for four exciting years; and WHEREAS, John is a talented architect whose design background and knowledge aided other members of the commission to better understand development projects that the commission reviewed; and WHEREAS, John capably chaired public hearings when the chairperson was absent, most notably during the Christ Episcopal Church land use review; and WHEREAS, John participated in numerous work sessions in addition to regular meetings, including work sessions related to the "Moratorium of 2006"; and WHEREAS, John's wife was viewed as a saint for letting him attend all of those evening meetings and the community is forever indebted; and WHEREAS, the City will miss John's knowledge and participation on the Planning and Zoning Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning and Zoning Commission of Aspen, Colorado, by this resolution that John Rowland be commended for his service to the City of Aspen.
