Mayor Ireland called the special meeting to order at 4:16 PM with Councilmembers
Torre, Romero, Skadron and Johnson present.
Councilman Torre moved to go into executives session at 4:16 PM pursuant to C.R.S. 24-
6-402(4)(a) The purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of any real, personal, or
other property interest; (b) Conferences with an attorney for the local public body for the
purposes of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions and (e) Determining
positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for
negotiations; and instructing negotiators for 4 topics; 2 undisclosed; Aspenital v City of
Aspen and the Given Institute; seconded by Councilman Johnson. All in favor, motion
carried.
Councilman Torre moved to come out of executive session at 5:05 PM; seconded by
Councilman Johnson. All in favor, motion carried.
Councilman Skadron moved to extend the Ordinance #48 negotiations with the Given
institute to November 8, 2010; seconded by Councilman Johnson. All in favor, motion
carried.
Councilman Johnson moved to adjourn at 5:10 PM; seconded by Councilman Skadron.
All in favor, motion carried.
