Mayor Ireland called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM with Councilmembers Johnson, Skadron,
Romero and Torre present.
ORDINANCE #1, SERIES OF 2011— Ordinance #48 Negotiations Given Institute
Mayor Ireland said city staff was informed that the applicant is not interested in pursuing the
negotiations any farther. Mayor Ireland noted that the letter of February 4, 2011 will be useful
for consideration by subsequent parties and anyone who wants to work with CU on a resolution
that preserves Council's goals and meets CU's financial needs.
Councilmen Romero moved to continue Ordinance #1, Series of 2011, to February 14; seconded
by Councilman Torre. All in favor, motion carried.
Councilman Romero moved to go into executive session at 5:05 PM pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6 -
402(4)(b) conferences with an attorney; seconded by Councilman Johnson. All in favor, motion
carried. Also present were Don Taylor, Barry Crook, Jim True and Kathryn Koch.
Councilman Romero moved to come out of executive session at 5:20 PM; seconded by
Councilman Torre. All in favor, motion carried.
Councilman Torre moved to adjourn at 5:20 PM; seconded by Councilman Johnson. All in
favor, motion carried.
