MINUTES OF MAY 26, 2011
Chairperson, Andrew Kole called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioners in attendance were Bill Dinsmoor, Siam Castillo, Don
Sheeley and Terry Butler. Excused were Fred Ayarza, Jim Pomeroy.
Staff: Kathy s Strickland, Chief Deputy Clerk
Lighting
Andrew explained that the lighting is more like a movie.
Possibly lease December through February the projectors and have the
lighting special events 14 days which is the code.
Bill said maybe we can ask Ski Co. about the infill.
Justin said they are working on getting three or four projectors on a demo
basis.
Andrew said you could do an international contest to use the DVD in Aspen.
Justin said the projector and material cost $5,000 to $35,000. It depends on
the building.
Justin said you can also personalize the show. One idea would be to have
Santa coming across the Wheeler building to the Elks etc. and have Santa
climb up the Elks building with presents.
Andrew suggested we find three videos we like the best and then go to a
work session and give council a ball park idea of what we are talking about.
Maybe it is just XMAS week or maybe we can spread it out over time.
Justin explained that we need a model of the building in order to get started.
Andrew said we need two locations one at the Wheeler and one on the
mountain.
Justin showed views of lighting; Vienna, Halloween and the XMAS
package. Andrew said we need a one sheet overall presentation.
Bill suggested including LED lights. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 _"
