HomeMy WebLinkAboutcoa.lu.sm.Blake.1980 MEMORANDUM TO: Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission FROM: Sunny Vann, Planning Office RE: Blake Stream Margin Review DATE: April 4, 1980 The applicant proposed to build a four bedroom two story single family residence on Red Butte Drive (a lot adjacent to Lot 1, Block 2, Red Butte Subdivision). The proposed structure is within 100 feet of the Roaring Fork River and is, therefore, subject to stream margin review. The Engineering Department has reviewed the applicant's development plan and has determined that the proposed structure is located outside of the 100 year floodplane. In accordance with Section 24 -6.3 of the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen, the Engineering Department finds that the applicant has satisfactorily completed all review criteria and therefore recommends approval for the Blake Streat Margin Review. In reviewing Ms. Blake's application, the Planning Office has determined that there are no designated trails which traverse the property. While a portion of the proposed building site may lie within the Roaring Fork greenway, impact upon existing ecological systems is expected to be minimal. This item is scheduled to come before Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday, April 8, 1980. COLORADO 81611 TELEPHONE 303 -925 -1519 March 22, 1980 Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission Stream Margin Review SUBJECT: Proposed residence for Sandra T. Blake, on a lot described by metes and bounds, and adjacent to Red Butte Subdivision Block 2, Lot 1. The proposed improvement shall be a four- bedroom, two -story single family residence of conventional frame construction. All major existing vegetation is outside of the proposed construction area; and therefore, shall remain unchanged by the construction of the proposed improvement. At no point is the proposed improvement closer than 46 feet to the high water line, and no grading, filling or excavation shall come closer to the high water line than that distance. The proposed improvement shall not in any way affect the stream channel, sedimentation, or suspension loads; nor will the proposed construction pollute, deface, or interfere with the stream or stream bank area.
