All in favor, motion carried. ORDINANCE #84 (Series of 1979) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-10.7(a) OF THE ASPEN MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING THAT THE ASPEN CITY COUNCIL MAY GRANT AN EXTENSION OF TIME IN WHICH TO SECURE A BUILDING PERMIT TO APPLICANTS WHO HAVE BEEN AWARDED ALLOTMENTS UNDER THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN was read by the city clerk Councilman Behrendt moved to adopt Ordinance #84, Series of 1979, as amended; seconded by Councilman Parry. Roll call vote; Councilmembers Parry, aye; Van Ness, aye; Isaac, aye; Michael, aye; Behrendt, aye; Mayor Edel, aye. SPECIAL EVENT PERMITS - Aspen Junior Hockey and Skating Foundation Tim Cottrell told Council he is asking for 10 permits for 1980 for hockey events. They Special Event have had these permits for 3 years. The city gets $200 everytime they use the rink. Permits- Cottrell told Council Armstrong insisted they buy liability insurance for these events of Aspen Junior a maximum coverage of $300,000. This insurance requires being sued, not just awarding it Hockey & Skating Councilman Parry moved to approve 10 special event permits to the Aspen Junior Hockey and Skating Foundation in January,February>and March 1980; seconded by Councilman Isaac. All in favor, motion carried. Mayor Edel told Council that a group of people from Austrian ski towns are coming to visit Aspen and other ski areas in the county. Each ski resort is donating $1,000 to cover receptions, expenses, etc. Councilman Behrendt moved to approve up to $1,000 expenditure; seconded by Councilman Parry. Mayor Edel said he felt Colorado and ski towns and Aspen will get good publicity from this. There is a ten -member delegation going to Austria from Aspen. No one on the Council is going. All in favor, with the exception of Councilman Van Ness. Motion carried. Ms. Butterbaug asked that the $1,000 come out of Council funds until she can find funds and come back and reallocate. Councilman Van Ness moved to adjourn at 12:35 p.m.; seconded by Councilman Isaac. All in favor, motion carried. Council went into executive session. e Z_k_, Kathryn VKoch, City Clerk
