Pitkin County Airport Approach Lighting System, Minor Amendment to
the Airport Master Plan and Scenic Overlay Review.

The City Planning Staff reviewed the Pitkin County Airport Minor Amendment to the
Airport Master Plan and Scenic Overlay for the proposed Approach Lighting System
and had the following concerns and/or recommendations.
1. Staff supports the approach lighting system.
2. Staff recommends the light post are painted a dark mute non-
reflective color
3. Staff recommends that dense vegetation be grown along the fence
to screen any light that might infringe on driver's visibility. (If this
is compliant with FAA standards).
