Colorado. will hold public hearings on Friday. the 15th day of April. 1960. at 7:30 P.M.. in the Council Room. City Hall, Aspen. Colorado. upon & petition filed by Lou Wille requesting a variance for the continuance of the existing construction into the set-back area on the southerly portion of Lots H and I. Block 51, Aapen. /s/ Albert Bishop Board of Adjustment April 8. 1960 Board of Adjustment of the City of Aspen Aspen. Color.do Gentlemen: I, Lou Wille, respectfully petition the Board of Adjustment to grant a variance providing for the continuance of the existing construction into the set-back on the southerly portion of Lots H and I, Block 51, Aspen. As grounds for this request and further pertinent information rela- ting to this vadance. I submit the following: 1. That said property is situate in the R-6 Residential are. and that the proposed construction extends to the South lot line of said lots and hence. is an extension into the rear set-back area under the Zoning Ordinance. 2. That the proposed construction is for a green- house for my own purpose a and constitutes a home occupa- tion. a permitted uae in said district. 3. That conatruction was staJ1ed under a Building Permit from the Building Inspector prior to the effective date of Ordinance NO.6. Series of 1956. said construction having begun in 1955. That I have continued construction as I have been able and have not been able to complete said work due to lack of time and financial requirements. It is necessary for me to have this to provide vegetation and plants for my own property. 4. That in view of the fact that this construction was started in good faith in compliance with the ordinances of the City then in effect .nd with the approval of tbe Building Inspector who issued a permit therefor. suoh factors conatitute adequate and exceptional circumstances and practical difficulty as would cause unnecessary hardShip from a strict enforcement of this Ordinance. 5.
