("", n HAAS LAND PLANNING, LLC December 28, 2000 Mr, Chris Bendon Senior Long Range Planner 130 South Galena Street Aspen, CO 81611 RE: Request for an Insubstantial Amendment to the DRACO Affordable Housing PUD Dear Chris: Please consider this letter a request for an Insubstantial Amendment to the DRACO Affordable Housing PUD (the Project), pursuant to Section 26.445,090 of the Aspen Land Use Code, As you are aware, the Project was approved with City Council's adoption of Ordinance Number 15, Series of 2000, and a PUD/Subdivision Agreement, a Final Plat, and Final PUD Development Plans have all been recorded pursuant thereto, While building height proved to be a significant issue in the course of the Project's review, the proposed architecture in general seemed to be of little concern to the City Council. Moreover, the design of the windows on the structure received little attention, if any, during the approval process, This request seeks only to amend the window designs as such were shown on the Final PUD Plans, Please find attached, a copy of the building elevations as shown on the Final PUD Plans as well as elevation drawings showing the proposed window designs, The new window designs are more along the lines of traditional double-hung, vertically oriented windows, Overall, the new window designs should not affect the general use or character of the development as approved by Council. No increases in site coverage, trip generation, or density will result, nor will any reductions in open space, parking, or pavement widths occur as a result of the proposed amendment, In addition, the requested change will not require any variation from the project's approved use or dimensional requirements, Your attention to reviewing and processing this request in a timely manner would be greatly appreciated as my clients need to order the windows as soon as possible, The structure is being built modularly, and the builders must have the approved windows before they can complete construction of the modules, If I can be of further assistance in any way, or if you should have any questions, ,(-'. . 201 N, MILL STREET, SUITE 108 .
