RESOLUTION NO. 52
(Series of 2021)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO,
RESCINDING ORDINANCE #12 (SERIES OF 2020) AND ORDINANCE #9 (SERIES OF
2021).
WHEREAS, the City of Aspen (the “City”) is a legally and regularly created, established,
organized and existing municipal corporation under the provisions of Article XX of the
Constitution of the State of Colorado and the home rule charter of the City (the “Charter”); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to powers granted to the City of Aspen, the City adopted public health
orders regarding the threat of COVID-19; and
WHEREAS, the City of Aspen commenced and continues to support crisis response efforts,
through both personal and other resources; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to State and Pitkin County Public Health Orders, the State of Colorado and
Pitkin County will continue to address appropriate guidelines for the health and safety of the
public; and
WHEREAS, continuation of the City’s actions pursuant to Ordinance #12 (Series of 2020), as
amended and extended by Ordinance #9 (Series of 2021), will add confusion to the current or
amended actions pursuant to State and Pitkin County Health Orders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ASPEN, COLORADO,
That the City Council hereby rescinds Ordinance #12 (Series of 2020) and Ordinance #9 (Series
of 2021) and the City of Aspen ongoing public health orders contained therein, effective
immediately.
INTRODUCED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Aspen on the 1
st day of
June 2021.
