Call to order: 2:34 pm by Scott Writer

Meeting Minute Approval: Karen Motioned with the correction to Scott’s last name, Sue
second, All were in Favor
Discussion items:
Presentation on the ½ cent tax renewal process: The ARC Advisory Committee is a critical
stakeholder in the renewal process of the ½ tax. The tax goes to the public for a vote in the fall of
2022. Committee had some general concerns about Recreation projects not having enough
attention. Could transportation support trail connection projects such as the AABC trail?

General Recreation Updates: Ice Operations is gearing up with a busy season in October,
Hockey Mountain High, and Fall Faceoff weekends. Aquatics is working very hard to recruit
staff. Parent and Tot swim class, as well as an Adult swim class, will begin in October. Day
camp and afterschool programs have been maximized based on staffing restrictions.
Fall Soccer is going well, and the Elk’s Soccer Shoot will occur later this month. The vacant full-
time positions are filled; one more remains.
Project Updates: The remaining fund for the water feature project is going towards replacing
the teacup and dump bucket. The training room downstairs below the Jr. Hockey office will have
going forward. The facilities have gotten some replacement furniture and will have new
wayfinding signage at the ARC.
