REGULAR MEETING COMMERCIAL CORE & LODGING COMMISSION JANUARY 19, 2021
Chairperson Jeb Ball called the meeting to order at 8:38 a.m.
Commissioners in attendance: Jeb Ball, Angi Wang, Terry Butler, Charles Cunniffe, Kiki Raj, Bill Dinsmoor
and Amanda Tanaka were present. Adam Malmgren was absent.
Staff present:
Mike Sear, Deputy City Clerk
Other attendees:
Mackenzie Sexton, ACRA representative
Kathy Strickland, Aspen Saturday Market manager
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS:
Mr. Ball said he wanted to lay out a plan to get the City’s downtown Safety plan for Galena and Cooper
on a future agenda. He thought they should have further discussion on the topic.
Mr. Cunniffe suggested that they have business come to that meeting.
Ms. Wang mentioned that the link to the Aspen Community Voice survey is hard to find and should be
sent out to businesses.
Mr. Ball asked how they could invite businesses.
Mr. Dinsmoor mentioned the entrance to Aspen and how it affects parking in town overall.
Mr. Cunniffe referenced other cities that have created parking solutions.
Mr. Ball said that the topic should be brought up at the next regular meeting.
Mr. Dinsmoor asked how ACRA could help get the word out.
Ms. Sexton said that ACRA could send something out to members.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES – December 1, 2021
Ms. Wang motioned to approve the minutes from December 1st, 2021. Mr. Ball seconded. All in favor,
motion passed.
SATURDAY MARKET – VENDOR EVALUATIONS
Mr. Ball started the agenda item of Saturday Market vendor applications review.
Ms. Raj showed up to the meeting.
Mr. Ball said that the application had been thinned down this year.
The commissioners started their review of market applications.
