Michaela motioned to approve agenda minutes from 8-2. Tyler seconded. Roll Call Vote to approve minutes: Michaela, yes; Tyler, yes; Zach, yes; Bailey, yes. Motion passed 4-0. Michaela welcomed Marian, the new member. She gave an overview of the last work session. She said they want to develop a package to send to Council in October. The topics they would like to propose are transportation focused. The first topic they are looking at an E-bike subsidy that would be offered to anyone who purchases an e-bike from a local vendor. The second topic is a parking garage pass offered to local businesses through ACRA for their employees. The third topic is the existing We-Cycle fee structure; is it deterring locals from using it. The fourth topic is safety and bike lanes in future development; are there regulations they can suggest like is there going to be a bike lane and will there be enough space to ride safely. They would like to look at how to educate people on biking right of way. The last item is bus ticket price imbalance. It costs more for a worker to bus into town to work than it does for a tourist to go to Snowmass to ski. It feels like it favors the tourists over the locals. Tyler is working on a document about e-bikes and will share after he does a little more work. He said the reason they chose transportation is that it is a pressing need for people in town and they thought there were some reasonable proposals they could put forward versus some of their other ideas that will take more work and be bigger projects. Michaela said the city recently increased the parking rates and that is a punitive approach versus incentivizing people not driving into town at all. Marian said is willing to help with the e-bike subsidy topic. Tyler spoke about what other towns are doing and the potential direction they will be taking in the future. He wants to look at something that aligns with the new state incentive that is coming up in April and try to build on that. They discussed e-bikes, subsidy programs, and different ways to get the subsidy. Michaela said that they are trying to get garage passes for employees of local businesses that are part of ACRA. Tyler asked if they could delegate who is going to dive into each transportation issue. Michaela said she is looking into the Parking garage tickets for employees and We-Cycle. She would like to do a poll among locals to see if they are using We-Cycle and if not, why. Tyler asked what day works for their next work session. He asked if Wednesday the 27th at 6pm at the library works. They will check schedules, come up with agenda and get it to Tracy. Michaela-Motion to adjourn. Tyler-seconded. Roll call vote to adjourn: Michaela, yes; Tyler yes; Bailey, yes; Zach, yes. Motion passed 4-0.
