HomeMy WebLinkAboutminutes.gab.114123 GOLF ADVISORY BOARD NOVEMBER 14, 2023 MINUTES The meeting began at 10.00 a.m., Jeff Sivess presiding. Those attending were Jeff Sivess, Ted Greene, Annie Gabriel, Brandon Blocker, Jim Schanzenbaker, Austin Weiss, Jim Pratt, Andrew Firman and Dominic Lanese. Jeremy Douglas as a guest. The Agenda was adopted and the minutes of the October meeting approved. There were no public comments. There wasn’t a Junior Golf Report. 5. Superintendent Report The course is closed and final maintenance has been performed. Upgrades to the fleet should be a greens mower and an electric maintenance vehicle. Cabinets and a work bench should also be included. 6, Head Professional Report. Andrew reported that we had 31,000 rounds this year. He is $200,000 over budget. Yay! He has been buying for 2024 and will do more at the PGA show in January. 7. Women’s Golf Association Report Linda wasn’t at the meeting so no report. 8. Men’s Golf Association Report Ted report3d that there are 215 members. They had a great season. The Ryder Cup competition will be held again in 2024. 9. General Manager Report Plans for holes 4/17 are progressing. Board members met with the golf architects on the course to review plans. The Instruction lease is up for renewal. It is at legal right now. Golf Pass Committee has met and pass information for 2024 is attached. There is a possibility that the Red Mountain Grill may run the Simulator including winter golf leagues. 10, Old Business 11. New Business Instruction Leases committee will meet after proposal deadline in December. Committee members are Helene, Dan Brooks, Annie and Schanzy. Jeff’s term was renewed for three years. 12. Next meeting will be December 12 at 10.00 a.m. 13. Adjourn
