A.G.C.A.B. – Minutes December 12, 2023
In a?endance: Jeff Sivess, Linda Maslow, Annie Gabriel, Helene Slansky, Jim
Schanzenbaker, Jim Pra?, Dominic Lanese; Brandon Blocker on line
The board would like to thank Helene for all her work on the board over the past
years. Her input has been greatly appreciated! Hope to con?nue to see her in the
future years!
Jeff asked to serve a second term at the November mee?ng, and was voted back
on by the board members.
Interviews were held with the 2 prospec?ve new board members, Doug
Goldsmith and Carol Barabe. A?er the interview a silent vote was taken, and
Carol was elected to the advisory board. Thanks to Doug for interviewing with us,
and we look forward to him par?cipa?ng with the board if he is able to. Carol will
start her 3-year term in January 2024.
The agenda was adopted and the minutes from November’s mee?ng were
approved. There was no public comment or Jr. golf report.
Superintendents report: Dominic is set to become a full-?me superintendent in 2
weeks! He reported the following; x-country tracks have been set on the course;
been working on organizing the maintenance shop, preparing equipment for
upcoming season. Looking at going with more electric maintenance equipment in
the future, star?ng with a new electric greens mower.
Head Golf Pro Report: NA
Women’s Golf Associa?on: Checking into a combined event with the Men’s
Associa?on, had a wonderful Holiday party, maybe more signage for dog walking
on course?
Men’s Golf Associa?on: NA
General Mangers Report: Jim reported the City Parks Department crew will be
working on the 4/17 project for up to 8 weeks this spring, which should be enough
?me to complete the project! Working on finalizing the lease agreement with the
Red Mountain Grill, and working on the new Golf Instructor Contract, only had 2
responses. Beginning work on a Master facility plan, golf, tennis, X-country,
parking, and building , Anthony is proceeding through the PGA assistant program,
2023 Compass Plan reached 95%! Forma?on of commitment to evaluate
applica?ons for golf Fundraising events, to include Jeff, Jim, Nancy(director of
marke?ng)
Old Business: Mostly covered in previous reports, Jim/Dom/Andrew working on
finalizing the 2024 budget

passed 5-0
