ACRA Winterskol Recap with Julie Hardman Ms. Hardman said she was the ACRA liaison eight years ago for CCLC as Alycin is now. This year, Winterskol was successful but came with some usual challenges. Winterskol used to come at a time in when it was slow in town and before things really started to get crazy. This year, our January calendar is full, and there were production overlaps. Winterskol was established to fill a lull after the holidays and to celebrate the locals, but now that time of year is no longer slow. We are now discussing shifting the dates to what they were before to a December date second or third weekend around the 15th, which is still considered off season. Ms. Butler entered the meeting. Ms. Hardman said they had seven restaurants cancel for Soupskol the week of the event. The overcommitment was real. She introduced the proposed survey to the community. It was on screen for the group to view. She asked that we please take the survey and asked how they feel about it and would they participate more if it was on a different date. We need to make a change. People really miss what it used to be. Ms. Butler said she remembers when Winterskol Queen was a really big deal. Ms. Hardman agreed and said they want to get the front line participating again. Mr. Dinsmoor spoke about doing a winter market also in that lull time. Ms. Raj entered the meeting. Ms. Hardman spoke about Roaring Fork leadership and the mental health issue which was brought up. she said it is a very timely issue for this time of year and can be a healthy component to add into Winterskol. 2 REGULAR MEETING COMMERCIAL CORE & LODGING COMMISSION JANUARY 17TH, 2024 At 9:00 a.m. Ms. Hardman ended her discussion and asked that everyone take the survey.
