AN ORDINANCE OF THE ASPEN CITY COUNCIL AMENDING ORDINANCE 11
(SERIES OF 1987) TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF TIME FOR APPEAL OF
RATINGS OF STRUCTURES ON THE INVENTORY OF HISTORIC STRUCTURES
WHEREAS, the City Council of Aspen, Colorado (hereinafter
"council") deems it to be in the best interests of the city of
Aspen to allow an additional two (2) months during which the
ratings of structures on the Inventory of Historic Structures can
be appealed to Council according to the provisions of Section 24-
9.7 of the Municipal Code, as established in Ordinance 11 (Series
of 1987), expiring September 10, 1987; and
WHEREAS, at Council's regular meeting of June 22, 1987 Council
initiated an amendment to accomplish this extension of time for
hearing such appeals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, that it does hereby extend the time
period for appeal of rating of structures on the Inventory of
Historic Structures as originally established in section 3 of
Ordinance 11 (Series of 1987) from sixty (60 days to one hundred
and twenty (120) days from the date of adoption of said Ordinance
11. This time period has been determined to end on September 10,
1987.
If any section, subsections, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitu-
tional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall
be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
thereof.
