AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A PORTION OF 17 QUEEN STREET AS H,
HISTORIC LANDMARK PURSUANT TO DIVISION 7, SECTION 7-701 OF THE
LAND USE CODE.
WHEREAS, Lana and Henry Trettin as Trustees of the PS
Productions Ll.mited Benefit Plan Communicatl.ons, owners of the
real property described as 17 Queen Street, Parcel I of the
Boundary Agreement Plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 13 at Page
35 of the records of Pl. tkin County, Colorado, have filed an
applicatl.on for historic landmark designation pursuant to section
7-701 of the Land Use Code.
WHEREAS, the property was added to the official Inventory of
Historic sites and structures in 1989, and has received the
historic evaluation ratl.ng of "4"; and
WHEREAS, the Historic Preservatl.on Committee recommended
historic designation at a duly noticed publl.c meeting on November
29, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the Aspen Planning and Zoning commission
recommended hl.storic designation for the portl.on of the parcel
immediately associated with historl.c resource at a duly notl.ced
public hearing on February 20, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Cl.ty Council wl.shes to pursue those recommendations
and complete the designation process.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:

That the portion of the property at 17 Queen Street immediately
assocl.ated with the historic cottage (to be relocated to the
northeast corner of the parcel) (description to be attached),
City of Aspen, be granted H, Hl.storic Landmark Designation.
section 2
That the Zonl.ng District Map be amended to reflect the rezoning
described in section 1 and the Planning Director shall be
authorized and dl.rected to amend said map to reflect said
rezoning.
section 3
That the Planning Director shall be directed to notify the city
Clerk of such designation, who shall record among real estate
records of the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder's Office a
certifl.ed copy of thl.s ordinance.
section 4
That if any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portl.on of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, dl.stinct and independent
provisl.on and such holdl.ng shall not affect the validity of the
remal.ning portions thereof.

That a public hearing on the Ordinance shall be held on the ~~
