Mayor Bennett called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. with Councilmembers
Richards, and Markalunas present.
Councilman Markalunas moved to go into executive session to discuss potential
litigation; seconded by Councilwoman Richards. All in favor, motion carried.
Council adjourned to the city manager’s office. Councilman Vickery came in.
Councilwoman Richards moved to come out of executive session at 5:00 p.m.;
seconded by Councilman Markalunas. All in favor, motion carried.
Mayor Bennett called the special meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. with
Councilmembers Richards, Markalunas and Vickery present. Also present HPC
members Susannah Reid, Roger Moyer, Gil Sanchez, Susan Dodington, Jeffrey
Halferty, Mary Hirsch and Heidi Friedland present.

John Worcester, city attorney, reviewed the process under which 414 North First
was reviewed and received permission to be demolished and rebuilt.
