MINUTES OF OCTOBER II 2003
Charles said we need to figure out how to keep people in town after the
market. Shea agreed.
Eric said CCLC does the scoring and no one is grandfathered in.
Charles said the majority of people like the location,
Shea said local retailers should be allowed a space. Possibly do a rotating
booth. Staff said locals were invited but we could change the application to
make that more profound. They would still have to comply with the criteria.
Andrew said the stores said they already have a store and will not come to
the market and hire more personnel.
Bill said the farmers have an 80/20 rule. The rotational business needs to
comply with the Colordao grown criteria.
Mark said we need to focus on making the market better.
We need downtown representations in the park. Possibly have a
retail/restaurant representation in the park.
Andrew suggested that we allow businesses to open up their sidewalks one
day.
Susan said tents draw people. Mavbe we allow businesses to open up
through town with small tents.
Eric said in 2004 we should market Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs.
Eric said this is a town effort. This needs to be a cooperative effort.
Charles said we need to encourage ACRA to get info out.

Products should be juried.
Products for next year.
Boiled peanuts.
Nuts.
Kids activities in the park.
MOTION: Bill moved to adjourn; second by Eric. All in favor, motion
carried.
