ORDINANCE NO. 01-
(Series'of 1992)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 56 (SERIES OF 1990) TO REFINE
THE CITY MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 56 (Series of 1990) the
City Council approved the organization of existing City depart-
ments into four agencies and two departments; and
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the City Manager, the
City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to reorganize
the administrative departmental structure for the city as out-
lined in Attachment "A", which includes:
(1)
a new department responsible for the functions of
parking enforcement, parking garage operations, the
Streets Department, and new parking/transportation
strategies; and
(2) maintaining the existing Public Works Director to be
responsible for management functions for the Electric,
Engineering and Water departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT:

The administrative departmental organization for the city of
Aspen as established by Ordinance No. 56 (Series of 1990) is
hereby repealed an supplanted by the organizational structure as
set forth in the organizational chart attached and fully incorpo-
rated herein as Exhibit "A".

Section 2
This ordinance shall not have any effect on existing litiga-
tion and shall not operate as an abatement of any action or
proceeding now pending under or by virtue of the ordinances
repealed or amended as herein provided, and the same shall be
construed and concluded under such prior ordinances.
section 3
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or
portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or
unconstitutional in a court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions thereof.
Section 4
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on the ~0
