AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AS A HISTORIC STRUCTURE AND SITE
THE LOCATION OF THE W. J. JOINT VENTURE RESIDENCE CONSISTING OF
LOT 17, BLOCK 103, HALLAM ADDITION
WHEREAS, subsequent to receiving affirmative reco~mnendations
from the Aspen Historic Preservation Cormmittee, the City Council
has determined that the designation of the W. J. Joint venture
Residence as a historic site is appropriate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO~
Section 1
That the following described area and structures thereon are
hereby designated as an H, Historical Overlay District, pursuant
to the provisions of Article 9 of Chapter 24 of the Aspen
Municipal Code,
Lot 17, Block 103
~allam Addition to the City of Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or por-
tion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconsti-
tutional ~y any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining por-
tions thereof.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on the ~J
day of ~
., 1981, at 5:00 P.M. in
the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado, 15
days prior to which hearing notice of the same shall be published
once in a newspaper?~of general circulation within the City of
Aspen.
