AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REENACTING
SECTION 7-141 (d) (d.2) Table No. 3-A
BUILDING PERMIT FEES TO ESTABLISH
NEW BUILDING PERMIT FEES
"WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City Council to establish
its building permit fees at a level which generates enough
revenues to offset its operating costs, and
WHEREAS, operating costs of the Aspen/Pitkin Regional
Building DePartment are expected to increase approximately
$50,000 above the anticipated revenues generated from building
permit fees in 1981, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Aspen City Council to
structure the building permit fee schedule on a graduated basis
according to the progressively higher level of expertise and
time it takes to inspect the higher valued construction projects,
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repeal and reenact
Section 7-141 (d) (d.2) to establish new building permit fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF .ASPEN, COLORADO'

That Section 7-141 (d) (d.2) is hereby repealed and reenacted
to rei~d as follows'
(d.2) Table No. 3-A, Building Permit Fees, of the Uniform
Building Code, 1976 Edition, is hereby repealed and reenacted
to read as follows:

Inspection outside of normal business hours (minimum charge
two hours) $15.00 per hour
Re in spe Ct i on fee assessed under provisions of Section
305(f) $15.00 each
Inspections for which no fee is specifically indicated
(minimum charge - ½ hOur) $15.00 per hour
4. Addition~al plan review required by changes, additions or
revisions to approved plans (minimum Charge - ½ hour

Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or application
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Sect ion 3
That a public hearing be held on this ordinance on
%ff 1981, at 5'00 P.M. in the
City
Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado, 15 days
prior to which hearing notice of the same shall be published
once in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of
Aspen.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided by law
