AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN TH~ GENERAL
FUND FROM CURRENT YEAR UNAPPROPRIATED REVENUES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$25,000.00 AND TRANSFERRING $16,230.00 FROM THE CITY MANAGER'S
BUDGET TO THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT'S BUDGET
WHEREAS, by virtue of Section 9.12 of the Home Rule Charter,
the City Council may make supplemental appropriations; and
WttEREAS, the City Manager has certified that the City has
unappropriated current year revenues in the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that certain expendi-
tures and transfers must be recognized and approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
Upon the City Manager's certification that there are avail-
able for appropriation in the General Fund, prior year Fund
Balance, the City Council hereby makes a supplemental appropria-
tion in the amount of $25,000.00 for unanticipated expenditures
for outside professional attOrney fees for the City Attorney's
DePartment; and transferring $16,230.00 from the City Manager's
budget to the Finance Department's budget for the transfer of a
city employee from City Manager to Finance.
Section 2
If any section~ subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or por-
tion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconsti-
tutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and
such holding shall not affect the 'validity of the remaining por-
tions thereof.
