AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,789,000.00 FROM CURRENT YEAR FUND BALANCE
IN THE WATER FUND AND RECOGNIZING ADDITIONAL UNANTICIPATED
REVENUES IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,909,306.00
WHEREAS, by virtue of Section 9.12 of the Home Rule Charter,
the City Council may make supplemental appropriations; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that the City has
unappropriated current year revenues in the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that certain~revenues
and expenditures must be recognized and approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO;
Section 1
Upon the City Manager's certification that there are avail-
able for appropriation in the Water Fund current year revenues in
excess of those previously appropriated, the City Council hereby
makes a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $1,679,000.00
for this year's anticipated water construction expenditures under
the City's current water bond issue, and additional expenditures
in the amount of $ii0,000.00 for the Highlands Water Improvement
Project for a total expenditure of $1,789,000.00; and recognizes
additional unanticipated water bond proceeds of $2,700,000.00 and
$9,306.00 of escrow proceeds, and $200,000.00 unanticipated
revenues for the Highlands Water Project.
Section 2
If any section, suOsection, sentence, clause, phrase or por-
tion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconsti-
tutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and

such holding shall nOt affect the validity of the remaining por-
tions thereof.
Section 3
That a public hearing be held on this ordinance on the~:~//

the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
