RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. 5F (Series of 1981) AN ORDINANCE MAKING A REDUCTION IN THE CURRENT YEAR APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $156,158.00; AND RECOGNIZING A REDUCTION IN THE CITY'S SHARE OF PITKIN COUNTY 2% SALES TAXES IN THE AMOUNT OF $151,3731 AND A REDUCTION OF TRAFFIC FINES IN THE ~MOUNT OF $4,785.00 WHEREAS, by virtue o[ Section 9.12 of the Home Rule Charter, the City Council may make supplemental appropriations; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that the current year revenues in the General Fund are projected to be less than antici- pated; and WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that certain revenue and expenditure reductions must be recognized and approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 Upon the City Manager's certification that pro]ections indi- cate that the General Fund current year revenues will be less than those previously anticipated and approved by resolution, the City Council hereby makes a reduction of General Fund revenues and General Fund appropriations previously recognized and appropri- ated, as follows; GENERAL FUND; Sales Tax Revenue $151,373.00 Traffic Fines 4,785.00 Total Reduced Revenues $156,158.00 GENERAL DEPARTMENT BUDGET CUTS: City Manager City Clerk Finance Planning Engineering Environmental Health Police Towing Municipal Court Animal Control Parks Data Processing Recreation Streets Total Reduced Budget $ 11,725.00 4,100.00 11,160.00 10,354.00 7,354.00 5,196.00 35,052.00 5,995.00 3,451.00 2,599.00 20,068.00 4,347.00 10,092.00 24,665.00 $i56,158.00 FORM ~ C. Section 4 If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or por- tion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconsti- tutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision, and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
