ARC ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting Minutes
June 2, 2004
~Attendees: Board Members: Scott Writer, Sue Smedstad} Debbie Ware, Laura
Kornasiewicz, Alice Davis, Robert Christiansen. Staff Members: Tim Anderson, Paul
Kulik, George Pucak, Jeff Woods, Susan Arenella, Jo Jo Smith.
Call to Order - This was not a regular ARC Advisory Committee meeting as
this time was utilized by the Committee and Staffto interview intereSted firms
for the pUrPose of producing a Business P1an for the Recreation DiVision.
Tim Anderson had invited 3 firms:' PROS'Consulting LLC, Ballard*King
Consultants, and Green Play ConsUlting to interview. The interviews were
convened bY Tim Anderson at 2pm on the 2nd of June and each firm was
allowed 1 hours time for presentation, and Question & Answer by Staff and
the COmmittee.
Following the 3 presentations, the Committee and Staff discussed the
strengths and weaknesses of each firm. Leon Younger and B.G. Clark of
PROS Consulting were selected as the best firm to provide the services
requested in the Scope or Work. The vote was unanimous by both staff and
the Committ. ee in selecting PROS.
Staff identified that they would go to work immediately on revising the Scope
of Services based upon new information provided in the presentations, and
secure a new fee so that a contact for services my be presented to City Council
on June 14th.
