HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.097-75RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves (Series of 1975) AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING (WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND) INTEREST AND RENT INCOME, UNANTICIPATED BUSINESS LICENSE AND CIGARETTE TAX REVENUES, LOAN PROCEEDS AND RECREATION ACTIVITY REVENUES; ~.t~KING APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR THE CITY COUNCIL, FINANCE, RECREATION, PLANNING, BUILDING MAINTENANCE AND STREET DEPARTMENTS; AND DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ENACT- MENT THEREOF WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that unanticipated revenues must be recognized in the General Fund,that appropriations to various departments must be approved and that all must be effective before the end of this calendar year. NOW, THEREFORE, JE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That revenues be recognized in and expenditures be author- ized from the General Fund as follows: General Fund Appropriations Revenues Expenditures Interest Income Rent Income Business Licenses Fees Cigarette Tax Revenues Loan Proceeds (Bank of Aspen/Computer) Recreation Activities Revenues Unappropriated Revenues City Council Finance Department Recreation Activities and Facilities Planning Office Building Maintenance Street Department Transfer to 1970 Public Purpose Bonded Debt for Debt Service $ 8,000.00 10,000.00 1,500.00 13,500.00 120,000.00 9,157.00 16,435.00 2,087.00 120,000.00 18,496.00 16,100.00 16,589.00 3,000.00 2,320.00 Leaving unappropriated revenues in the General Fund in the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Eight ($199,628.00) Dollars. Section 2 If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereoJ to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions or applications of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 3 That it is hereby declared that an emergency exists requir- ing the immediate adoption of this ordinance inasmuch as all budget ordinances for 1975 revenues or expenditures must be fully approved by the City's governing body before the end of this calendar year; that this ordinance be approved only by the unanimous vote of council- ment present or a vote of five councilmen, whichever is less; that this ordinance be passed at two meetings of council; that neither a public hearing nor first publication be required; that this ordinance be published within ten (10) days after final passage, and that it take effect upon final passage.
