(Series of 1976) AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE SITE OF THE MESA STORE BAKERY (LOTS R AND S OF BLOCK 30, ORIGINAL ASPEN TO?~SITE) AND THE FLORADORA (LOTS P, Q, R AND S, BLOCK 37, ORIGINAL ASPEN TOWNSITE) AS HISTORIC SITES ALL AS PROVIDED BY ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 24 OF THE ASPEN MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, ~he City Council has received recommendations from the Historic Preservation Committee and the Planning and Zoning Commission endorsing the designation of two structures and sites as historic, all as provided in the Aspen Municipal Code, and ~EREAS, the City Council agrees with the determination of the Commissions that both structures and sites meet the standards for designation as H, ~istoric Overlay Districts, as set forth in Section 24-9.3 of the Aspen Municipal Code and wishes to complete the designa- tion procedures by enacting an ordinance establishing the sites and buildings as historic, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That the following parcels of land and structures situate thereon shall be designated an H, Historic Overlay District, all as provided in Article XI, Chapter 24, of the Aspen Municipal Code: Parcel No. 1 - Lots R and S of Block 30, Original Aspen Townsite Parcel No. 2 - Lots P, Q, R and S of Block 37, Original Aspen Townsite. Section 2 If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions or applications of this ordinance are declar- ed to be severable. Section 3 That there be conducted a public hearing on this ordinance on the /~ day of ~. , 1976, at 5:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado, fifteen (15) days prior to which public hearing notice of the same shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of Aspen.
