HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.048-76RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. ~8 (Series of 1976) AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING NEW LIQUOR LICENSING FEES WITHIN THE CITY OF ASPEN; HORE SPECIFICALLY, IMPOSING A HEARING FEE IN THE AMOUNT OF $350.00 FOR THE ISSUANCE OF ALL CLASSES OF NEW LICENSES, REDUCING THE APPLICATION FEE FOR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP AND LOCATION REQUESTS, AND ESTABLISHING A NEW FEE IN THE ~4OUNT OF $50.00 FOR THE ANNUAL RENEWAL OF EXISTING LICENSES ~{EREAS, by virtue of recent amendments to the state statutory regulations concerning the issuance of liquor licenses within the state, the City Council is authorized to make certain changes in its fee schedules with respect to the proceedings for issuance of licenses within the City, and the City Council feels the following changes are appropriate, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That from and after the effective date of this ordinance there shall be imposed on all applicants the following fees, which shall be in addition to any and all other license, occupation or other license related fees heretofore imposed by the City of Aspen: $350.00 for new applications for all clases of licenses including 3.2 beer, one, two and three way liquor licenses; $150.00 for the processing of stock transfer applications, purchase and sale applications, and transfer of location applications; and $50.00 for the processing of applications for the annual renewal of all classes of licenses including RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves 3.2 beer, one, two and three way licenses. Section 2 The provisions of this ordinance shall supercede those pro- visions of Ordinance 41, Series of 1974, to the extent of any incon- sistency only, and the fee schedules established by Ordinance 41 not inconsistent herewith (or otherwise amended) shall continue in full force and effect. Section 3 If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions or applications of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 4 A public hearing on this ordinance shall be held on the /~ day of ~ , 1976, in the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
