AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF
THE ASPEN ZONING CODE AFFECTING THE COMMERCIAL
LODGE (CL) ZONE DISTRICT; MORE PARTICULARLY
REDUCING THE ALLOWABLE HEIGHT FROM 40 FEET TO
28 FEET (32 FEET BY SPECIAL REVIEW) AND ELIMINATING
THE OFF STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS WITHIN THIS
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Council, in reviewing a series of pending
changes to the Aspen Municipal Zoning Code wishes to approve cer-
tain recommended changes to the Commercial Lodge District and do
so in advance of its consideration of the balance of the pending
recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That Section 24-4.5(c) of the Municipal Code of the
City of Aspen, Colorado, is hereby amended with respect to the
C-L district so as to read as follows:

Section 2
That Section 24-3.4 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Aspen, Colorado, is hereby amended by repeal and re-
enactment of the maximum height provisions for the CL district
to read as follows:

If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circ~!lstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications

of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4
That a public hearing be held on this ordinance on

Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado, 15 days
prior to which hearing notice of the same shall be published
once in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of
Aspen.

by law by the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
at its regular meeting held at the City of Aspen on
