ORDINANCE NO. 7~
(Series of 1976)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ASPEN MUNICIPAL
CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 7-168 THERETO
REQUIRING THE APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR
PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC METERS
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that review
of electric meter installations is necessary to insure compliance
with the City's building and zoning regulations,
i~OW, ?HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN:
Section 1
?hat the Municipal Code of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
is hereby amended by adding a section which said section reads
as follows:
Sec. 7-168 Installation of Meters
No electric meter shall be installed within the
City of Aspen by any utility company without first
having received the approval of the building inspector
for such installation.
Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on
~-~9~-~3 /~ , 1976, at 5:00 P.M. in the City
Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
