AN ORDINANCE DISCONNECTING A TRACT OF LAND
CONSISTING OF APPROXImaTELY 1.2 ACRES OWNED
BY PITKIN COUNTY AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY
LIMITS, AND DISCONNECTING THE SA~ PURSUANT
TO THE PROVISIONS OF C.R.S. 1973, SECTION
31-12-591, AS AMENDED

WHEREAS, the BOARD OF ~OUN~Y
COUNTY, COLORADO, have ~etitioned the City Council for the dis-
connection of certain county-owned lands lying within the City
limits, and
WtIEREAS, on reviewing said petition the Council is
of the opinion that the grounds in support of the petition are
adequate, and that the best interests of the City will not be
prejudiced by the proposed disconnection,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF APSEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That the following described lands lying within Pitkin
County, Colorado, be and hereby are disconnected from the City
of AsDen~
A tract of land situated in the south one-half of
Section 7, Township 10 South, Range 84 West of the
Sixth Principal ~eridian, City of Aspen, Colorado,
being a portion of the Riverside Annexation to said
City of Ashen, and being more fully described as follows:
Beginning at Corner No. 9 of said Riverside Annexation;
Thence S 45°09'00'' W 187.59 feet to the northeast
corner of the Aspen Hills Annexation to the City of
Aspen;

2. That, upon adoption of this ordinance, the City
Clerk forward two certifeid copies hereof (with a map of the area
concerned) to the County Clerk and Recorder, who shall record
one copy and forward the second to the Division of Local ~overn-
ment (Department of Local Affairs) all as required by Section
24-32-109, C.R.S. 1973.
Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordiance shall be held on
, 1977, at 5:90 P.M. in
the City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.

by law by the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado, at
its regular meeting held at the City of As~en on the
