ORDINANCE NO. 30
(Series of 1977)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 24-3.4 (AREA AND BULK
REQUIREMENTS) BY REQUIRING IN THE CC DISTRICT AN
EXTERNAL FLOOR AREA RATIO OF 1.5:1 WITH AN
ADDITIONAL 0.5:1 ALLOWED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE
CONSTRUCTED IN CONFORMANCE WITH A DULY ADOPTED
HOUSING PLAN; AND BY REQUIRING IN S/C/I DISTRICT
AN EXTERNAL FLOOR AREA RATION OF 1:1
WHEREAS, the Aspen City Council has been presented
a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission to
amend Sec. 24-3.4 of the Zoning Code, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to adopt the same
for the benefit of the City of Aspen,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1 f~'
That Sec. 24-3.4 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Aspen, Colorado, is hereby amended in the following manner:
(a) The deletion in the CC district requirement in the
"area and bulk requirements" chart for external floor
area ratio of "2:1"; and the substitution therefore
of "1.5:1 with an additional 0.5:1 allowed for residen-
tial use constructed in conformance with a duly adopted
housing plan for the City of Aspen".
(b) The deletion in the S/C/I district requirement
in the "area bulk requirements" chart for external
floor area ratio of "2:1" and the substitution therefore
of 1:1.

Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of
the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid pro-
vision or application, and to this end the provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3
A public hearing on the ordinance shall be held on
June 13 , 1977, at 5:00 P.M. in the
City Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED published as provided by
law by the City Council of the City of Aspen, colorado, at its
regular meeting held at the City of Aspen on the 23rd day of
