AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEC. 24-3.2 (1) BY THE
ADDITION OF SINGLE-FAMILY AND DUPLEX RESIDENCES
IN THE L-2 ZONING DISTRICT AS PERMITTED USES,
AND (2) BY DELETING AND RE-ENACTING THE
INTENTION OF THE L-2 DISTRICT ADDING TOURIST
ORIENTED SINGLE FAMILY AND DUPLEX UNITS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen, Colorado,
desires to amend Section 24-3.2 of the Aspen Municipal Code
for the benefit of the City of Aspen,
~OW, ?HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
Sec. 24-3.2 is hereby amended by the addition of single
family and duplex residences in the L-2 zone as permitted uses.
Section 2
Sec. 24-3.2, intention in the L-2 district, is hereby
deleted and re-enacted to read as follows:
Fo encourage construction and renovation of
lodges in the area at the base of Aspen
Mountain and to allow construction of tourist
oriented single-family, duplex and multi-family
units.
Section 3
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end the provisions of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4
That a public hearing be held on this ordinance on

Council Chambers, Aspen City Hall, Aspen, Colorado, 15 days
prior to which hearing notice of the same shall be published
once in a newspaper of general circulation within the City
of Aspen.
