AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL
FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $73,500.00 FROM CURRENT YEAR UNAPPROPRIATED
REVENUES, AND APPROPRIATING EXPENDITURES OF $73,500.00 FOR
MISCELLANEOUS GENERAL FUND PURPOSES
WHEREAS, by virtue of Section 9.12 of the Home Rule Charter,
the City Council may make supplemental appropriations; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has certified that there are avail-
able for appropriation $14,000.00 in revenues in the form of tow-
ing fees, $8,000.00 in revenues in the form of a contribution from
Pitkin County, and $51,500.00 in unanticipated current year sales
tax revenues; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that certain transfers
and expenditures must be recognized and approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
Upon the City Manager's certification that there are avail-
able for appropriation revenues in excess of those estimated in
the budget, the City Council hereby makes a supplemental appropri-
ation of current year unappropriated general fund revenues in the
amount of $73,500.00 for the purpose specified on attached
Exhibit "A".

Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provision or appli-
cation, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are
declared severable.
